“Yes…yes I understand look she was in bed when I left to get her some medicine I told her not to move, well if you’ll get off the phone I can get back to her alright? Alright bye.” Lightning spoke in an exasperated tone as she hung her phone up and slipped it back into her pocket as she continued to search the shelfs at the market for the medicine she needed.
Finally though she admitted defeat and walked over to the counter to ask for some help to find what she needed because deep down she knew Fang wouldn’t listen to her for anything which meant she was probably up and walking around right now. Paying for the medicine she smiled and headed out of the store stuffing the bag in her bag and headed back to the house, she knew she was going to have to punish Fang if she had been up and walking around.
Opening the front door she took her scarf off and laid it over the cuch along with her jacket and bag as she walked upstairs to search for ill fiance. “Fang? I went out and got you some medicine that the doctor told me to get to help you kick this thing.” she crossed her arms over her chest when she saw that Fang was just about to get up from the bed. “What do you think your doing, Fang? I thought I told you to stay in bed and that I would help you with whatever you needed.”
Fang froze; she was caught red handed. Chuckling sheepishly, she sank back down onto the bed and glanced over at her fiance. “D-did ya say that now? My memory must be goin’~” Not that it was or anything but still! She didn’t want a Lightning lecture. They were never ending and the disappointment that Lightning managed to get across always made Fang feel horrible.
“I do know what ya told me, Sugar but I need to do somethings for myself.” It wasn’t that she didn’t want Lightning taking care of her because she did — it was sweet too that her fiance was taking off of work to be by her side. She just wanted to have some independence back and to do at least something — no matter how small — on her own.
Smiling bitterly, she ducked her head, dark hair sliding over her shoulders and hiding her face. “It’s just frustratin’ being bed ridden.”
She could take on Orphan, hold up Cocoon for hundreds of years but, a stupid cold was her down fall; needless to say, it sucked.
